Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using "The Atlas" website (the "Service") operated by NBA Player Development ("us," "we," or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service.

By accessing or use the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.

1. Description of Service

"The Atlas" is a digital guidebook provided by the NBA and NBPA that serves as a resource for rookie players to navigate their first year in the league.

2. User Accounts and Security

To access The Atlas, you must register and create an account. The login process is secured through two-factor authentication via SMS. By registering, you agree to receive a text message containing a verification code to your provided mobile phone number for the purpose of logging into the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. SMS Messaging

By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to these Terms, you consent to receive text messages from us solely for authentication purposes. The frequency of these messages will depend on how often you log in to the Service. You can opt-out of receiving these messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any message. Standard message and data rates may apply.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any parts of the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of NBA Player Development and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. In no event shall NBA Player Development, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
